We sit inside on a huge ivory couch. I'm in his arms and we look outside at the cold weather. Wind blows through the starlit palm trees. I can hear the waves crash and the wind howl. We walk outside. Everything is in slow motion as we open the glass door and step through to the sidewalk. We are wrapped in a blanket that shields our bodies from the cold. The wind still nips at our noses that are quickly turning red. I feel the sand in between my toes. It is cold to the point where you cannot tell if it is just cold, or if it is wet too. We walk up to the water. I feel the wetness wrap around my ankles. We lay down in the sand and let all of the world consume us.
